When editing Phantoms, you may wonder what the difference is between number of results "per launch" and "per search", "per post", "per profile".
Here's a quick explanation:
Here's the first part of your Phantom's setup Step 1:
You have three options for filling in the 'Search input' field:
- You can set search criteria (here: Haunted house Manager)
- You can use a LinkedIn search URL (for instance: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?geoId=92000000&keywords=haunted%20house&location=Worldwide)
- You can use a spreadsheet URL (CSV or Google Sheets) containing multiple LinkedIn search criteria:
Here's the second part of the setup Step 1:
Your Phantom needs to know how many results you want per launch (the amount the Phantom scrapes each time it works) and per search (the amount you want for each of your search criteria).
Let's say you want to extract 10 results each launch and 20 in total for each search. As you have 3 different search criteria (as in the spreadsheet above) there will be 60 results overall. Therefore, it will take 6 launches for the Phantom to complete its job.
This is a worthwhile option when you schedule several automatic launches for your Phantom (setup Step 2).
Your Phantom will work through each search criteria in the order they appear on your spreadsheet, and will automatically start from where it left off during its previous launch.
N.B. In this example, we used LinkedIn Search Export, but the same logic will apply with Phantoms such as LinkedIn Auto Liker, Google Maps Search Export, Instagram Hashtag Collector, Instagram Follower Collector, Twitter Export Tweets and many others!
