The majority of our Phantoms will pick up where they left off from one launch to the next. This means that you can set your Phantom to launch automatically multiple times per day and it will not just be repeating itself.
However, you may have found that your Phantom is in fact repeating the same actions at each launch. Don't worry, here's how you can change this:
When you launch a Phantom it will summarise the actions it has performed in results files, which can be found on the Phantom's Console page.
Your Phantom uses these files to know where it finished during its last launch, and therefore where to begin next time. So, if deleted, the Phantom will start its actions from the beginning again.
You can control this using the following steps.
Go to Step 2 of editing your Phantom. Click on the three little dots to 'Show advanced settings':
Scroll down to 'Folder management'. Here you will find three options:
The default setting each time is 'Mix new and old files'. This means that each time the Phantom launches it will pick up from where it left off during the last launch to perform its task, then overwrite the old files adding new data. This way, at the end of a series of launches you will have one large file containing all of your data.
The 'Create a new folder per launch' option will work the same way, but create new files containing the new data at each launch instead.
If you choose the 'Delete all previous files at launch' option, new files will be created in place of the old ones. This means, however, that your Phantom will start from the beginning again each time it launches.
If this issue isn't coming from your files, it is possible that it is due to a rate limit on, for example, Instagram or LinkedIn.
Perhaps your Phantom is reattempting actions that were blocked during the previous launch and are therefore not complete.
If this is the case, it might be helpful to click 'View log' on a launch on the Console page to find out more:
