Grow Your LinkedIn Network Workflow

Automatically connecting with thousands of people just got easier thanks to PhantomBuster's very first Workflow! Grow Your LinkedIn Network will help you connect to a list of LinkedIn users quickly and safely, taking care of the whole process for you from start to finish.

You just need to set things up! Here's your how-to guide.

Connect to LinkedIn

As always, the first step is entering your LinkedIn session cookie so that the Workflow can connect to LinkedIn and act on your behalf. This can be done in 2 clicks using PhantomBuster's browser extension. You can access it from within the setup, or find it here for Chrome or for Firefox.

Then just click the "Connect to LinkedIn" button, and your cookie will appear:


If you're operating from another browser and/or want to get your cookie manually, this article will show you how.

Make sure to click "Save!"


Profiles to add

Here, you provide the list of people you want to connect to as a LinkedIn URL, and the Workflow will automatically send connection requests to every corresponding profile. You can choose from 3 types of input:

  • A regular LinkedIn search (1000 results)
  • A Sales Navigator search (2500 results)
  • A LinkedIn group (2500 most recent members)

If you would like to use several input URLs, you can list these in a Google Sheet and enter its URL in this field instead.


Advanced settings

You have the option to tell the Workflow how many profiles you would like it to extract from each search/group you give as input, to later connect to, if you'd like this to differ from the max.

If your searches are not found in column A of your input spreadsheet, you can also specify the column they are found in



Message to send

In this step you can include a personalized message within your connection requests using placeholder tags such as "#firstName#":

Another important thing to be aware of is that LinkedIn limits messages to 300 characters, so make sure to take this into account when using tags.


Launch your Workflow

Once you've saved your setup, by default your Workflow will be inactive. Now to get it up and running, all you have to do is enable it:


Once you have, the Workflow will launch automatically throughout working hours each day extracting profiles, sending them connection invitations, and noting when those invites have been accepted.

And don't worry, PhantomBuster has worked out the best times and volumes for launching each step of your Workflow so that your profile will be kept safe.

You can also disable the Workflow at any time using the same toggle switch.


Monitor your results

On your Workflow's Dashboard, you'll see a couple of different ways to visualize your progress.



With this graph, you'll be able to monitor the progress of your Workflow visually - it will display the number of invites it has sent and the number of requests that have been accepted by default.

You can click on any of these data points at the top of the graph to display or remove them from the graph. You can also hover over any point in the graph to see figures from a particular date:


Above the graph, you'll see total figures and percentages from each stage in the Workflow. The first box shown indicates the time saved, which is the estimated time it would've taken for you to perform these actions manually.

Remember, this process will take some time, as it depends on user interactions. The numbers will automatically update at multiple points throughout the day as long as your Workflow is active.



On this tab, you'll find all the data collected from the Workflow, with basic information for each profile displayed alongside their invitation status and acceptance date.

You can search for specific entries using the search bar on the left, or download your entire data set as a CSV file on the right. If you'd like to view the file in Google Sheets, you can obtain its URL by right-clicking on the "Download CSV" button.



And that's everything! Your Workflow will continue to work away in the background for as long as you leave it to do so, all with the goal of growing your LinkedIn network without you having to lift a finger :)
