Want your Phantoms to scrape and extract even more data? To get more output (aka results), you need more input!
Each Phantom requires input data to know exactly what you would like it to process on your behalf. The more input data you give the Phantom, the more results it will give you!
The easiest way to give the Phantom more input data at once is to use a spreadsheet as input.
Start by creating a CSV file, or a spreadsheet that is located online (such as Google Sheets).
Find out what kind of input your Phantom requires -- for example, LinkedIn profile URLs for the LinkedIn Profile Scraper -- then list these in column A of your spreadsheet:
No need for a column heading! The Phantom will take data column A by default. Don't worry, the setup of the Phantom will tell you the appropriate input type if you're unsure.
Once you've done this, make sure your spreadsheet is publicly accessible by clicking on the Share button in the top right. It should be accessible to 'Anyone with the link:'
You can then copy the spreadsheet URL from there or directly from the search bar and paste it into the relevant input section in the Phantom's Setup.
When you launch your Phantom it will work through the profiles you have listed one by one.
With many Phantoms, you can choose how many lines of your spreadsheet you would like to be processed per launch. Most Phantoms will then pick up from where they left off with the each launch and continue working their way down your list.
Inputs not found in the first column
If you're using a spreadsheet where your input data isn't found in column A, you can simply tell your Phantom which column to find it in by filling in the 'Column name from which to take profile URLs' section of your Phantom's Setup. This will take the column title, e.g. 'profileUrl' in the example below:
Please also note that changing the input between launches may cause the Phantom to fail - you might then need to rename your result file. Check out this article for more information (4. Input already processed).
