Troubleshooting When "Missing Send button (Or Premium Account Needed)" Error

This guide helps you resolve the error "Missing Send button (or Premium account needed)" when using the LinkedIn Message Sender.

Why am I getting this error?

⚠️ LinkedIn restricts sending messages to only 1st-degree connections or to Premium accounts with the "Open Profile" feature that allows anyone to message them for free.

You might encounter this message due to LinkedIn's messaging restrictions:

  • LinkedIn only allows you to send messages to 1st-degree connections or to Premium members with "Open Profile" status. The "Open Profile" feature allows Premium members to receive messages from anyone on LinkedIn, even if they are not directly connected.
  • If you’re using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, you'll need to use the Sales Navigator Message Sender instead of the LinkedIn Message Sender. The regular LinkedIn Message Sender is not designed for messaging through Sales Navigator.

How to resolve this issue

  • Consider a LinkedIn Premium account: Upgrading to a Premium account allows you to use InMail credits to message second and third-degree connections. Keep in mind that InMail credits are limited, so this option is best for targeted outreach.
  • Use the LinkedIn Auto Connect: This Phantom helps you connect with the people you want to reach out to, allowing you to send personalized messages once the connection is accepted. This way, you can save your InMail credits for prospects who do not accept your connection request.
