The "Maximum number of parallel executions reached" error appears when your workspace tries to run more automations at the same time than your account allows. The fix is to space out your launches so they don't overlap, avoid running too many Phantoms and Workflows at once, or upgrade your plan if you need more parallelism.
Why you’re seeing this
Your account has reached its parallelism limit, which is the maximum number of automations (Phantoms and Workflows) that can run at the same time. This usually happens when:
- Multiple automations launch at once.
- The same Phantom is scheduled to launch again before the previous run finishes.
Two types of limits apply:
- Workspace limit: Based on your plan (Start, Grow, or Scale). If too many automations start at the same time, you’ll hit the limit.
- Phantom limit: Some Phantoms are restricted to a single instance at a time (e.g. LinkedIn Phantoms).
How to fix it
Space out your launches
Adjust your schedules so launches don't overlap. Use the scheduling settings to stagger start times and give each run enough time to finish before the next one begins.
Avoid running too many automations at once
If you're close to your limit, reduce the number of Phantoms and Workflows running simultaneously. Launching a few at a time instead of all at once keeps you within your Workspace's parallel execution limit.
Upgrade your plan
If you regularly need to run more automations in parallel than your current plan allows, upgrade to a higher plan (Grow or Scale) for a larger parallelism limit.
Frequently asked questions
What is the parallel execution limit?
It's the maximum number of automations (Phantoms and Workflows) that can run at the same time in your Workspace. The exact number depends on your plan.
How many Phantoms can I run at the same time?
It depends on your plan. Start, Grow, and Scale each have different parallel execution limits. Some Phantoms, like all LinkedIn Phantoms, are capped at one instance at a time regardless of plan.
Does the limit depend on my PhantomBuster plan?
Yes. Higher plans allow more automations to run in parallel. If you're hitting the limit often, upgrading to Grow or Scale gives you more headroom.
Why do some Phantoms only allow one run at a time?
Some Phantoms, such as LinkedIn Phantoms, are restricted to a single instance at a time to protect your session and reduce the risk of account restrictions on the target platform.
How can I find my exact workspace parallel limit?
Get in touch with our Customer Care Team and we'll confirm the parallelism limit for your Workspace.
