If your LinkedIn Phantom returns an "Error loading Connection page" error, it means LinkedIn failed to load the Connections page that the Phantom depends on. The most common cause is that the connected LinkedIn account has no active connections. Check that your account has at least one connection, verify your session cookie is still valid, and retry.
If your session cookie has expired, see How to Fix Session Cookie Expiration Errors. If your account is disconnected entirely, see How to Fix Account Disconnection Errors.
Why you're seeing this
This error shows up when LinkedIn fails to load the Connections page, which Phantoms like LinkedIn Connection Export and LinkedIn Personal Email Extractor depend on.
It usually happens because:
- The LinkedIn account has no active connections, so there's nothing to process.
- LinkedIn is experiencing a temporary loading issue.
- LinkedIn rolled out a platform update that affects how the page is displayed.
- Your session cookie has expired and the Phantom can't authenticate with LinkedIn
How to fix it
Check your connections
Log into LinkedIn → go to My Network → Connections (step-by-step guide).
If you see "You don't have any connections yet," you'll need at least one active connection before the Phantom can extract anything.
Verify your session cookie
If you do have connections but the page won't load, your session cookie may have expired. Go to your Phantom setup and check that your LinkedIn account is still connected. If it's disconnected, reconnect it, see How to Fix Session Cookie Expiration Errors.
Wait and retry
If your account has connections and the cookie is valid, the issue is likely a temporary LinkedIn loading problem. Wait 15–30 minutes and relaunch the Phantom.
Frequently asked questions
Does this error affect all Phantoms or only Connections Export?
It mainly affects Phantoms that rely on the LinkedIn Connections page, like the LinkedIn Connection Export and LinkedIn Personal Email Extractor. Other Phantoms that work with search results or profile URLs aren't affected.
Can an expired session cookie cause this error?
Yes. If the cookie has expired, the Phantom can't authenticate with LinkedIn, which can cause the Connections page to fail to load. Always check your session cookie if you see this error.
Will the Phantom retry automatically?
If it's scheduled to run repeatedly, it will try again on the next launch. But it won't retry within the same run, if the page fails to load, that launch ends.
How many connections do I need for the Phantom to work?
At least one. The Connections page only loads when there's at least one active connection on the account.
Is this error caused by LinkedIn or PhantomBuster?
Almost always LinkedIn. The Phantom is simply trying to load a standard LinkedIn page. If LinkedIn's servers are slow or the page structure has changed, the Phantom can't proceed.
