This guide explains which Phantoms keep their browser data between launches when persistent session is turned on, and which ones do not.
Persistent session lives in the Advanced settings of the Phantom setup, which is the same panel for every Phantom, so the tab is visible no matter which one you open. You can also turn it on when you connect a LinkedIn account with an email and password, from the Connect a LinkedIn account window.
Being able to turn it on does not mean the Phantom uses it. Nothing in the interface tells you which ones do: the setting saves normally either way, with no warning and no error. This page lists the Phantoms that support it.

On these Phantoms, turning on persistent session keeps the browser data between launches, and any Phantom set up with the same session key reuses it.

Runs that use several LinkedIn accounts at once are the one case that never applies. Each account needs its own separate browser, so those runs skip the setting and carry on normally.
Not supported
The setting appears on these Phantoms and saves without an error, but the browser data is not kept between launches.

Every Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook and Slack Phantom is also not supported.
Phantoms that have nothing to keep
Some Phantoms work without signing in to an account, and some never open a browser at all. They have no session to save, so the setting makes no difference to them. If your Phantom never asked you to connect an account, this is the case.
What to do if your Phantom is not supported
Nothing on your side. Your Phantom runs exactly as it always has, and the Persistent session tab still saves without an error, it simply has no effect. You do not need to remove the session key or change any other setting.
