Manage your Subscription Plan: Upgrades, Downgrades, and Billing

This guide explains how to switch between PhantomBuster plans, whether you want to upgrade for more resources or downgrade to reduce costs. Plan changes take effect immediately and can be managed at any time from your workspace settings.

What happens when you upgrade

If you move to a higher plan during your current billing cycle:

  • Your new plan becomes active immediately.
  • You’ll be charged only the difference (pro-rata) between your current and new plan, for the remaining days in your billing cycle. 
  • Your plan resources (execution time, slots, email & AI credits) are updated right away.

For example:
If you’re halfway through the month and switch from Starter to Pro, you’ll only be charged the price difference for the remaining days in your cycle.

What happens when you downgrade

If you switch to a lower plan:

  • The change takes effect immediately.
  • You’ll receive a pro-rata credit for the unused portion of your current plan.
  • That credit is automatically applied to your next invoice.

You won’t lose access to your automations, but your available resources will be reduced based on the limits of the new plan.

How to change your plan

To upgrade or downgrade your PhantomBuster plan:

  1. Log in your PhantomBuster workspace and hover over your name in the top-right corner to access your User menu.
  2. If you have more than one workspace, make sure the correct one is selected from the dropdown. Look for the ✔️ symbol next to the active workspace name.
  3. Under your Workspace section, click Billing.
  4. Use the toggle at the top of the page to choose Monthly or Annual billing.
  5. Click Select plan or Upgrade under the plan you want. 
  6. Review your bill summary, which shows:
    • Any price difference (pro-rata)
    • Applicable credits (if downgrading)

    • Final charge (excluding VAT)
  7. Click Switch or Upgrade to confirm the change.

Your new plan will be applied immediately, and your resources updated.

Additional notes

  • Your billing currency and billing cycle date remain unchanged after switching plans.
  • VAT is calculated based on the country listed in your billing details.
  • If you're managing multiple workspaces, remember: 
    → Each workspace has its own independent subscription.
    → Changing the plan for one workspace won’t affect others.
