Looking to create laser-targeted lead lists based on real interests and behaviors? This workflow helps you find highly relevant profiles by scraping:

  • LinkedIn group members, and
  • LinkedIn event attendees.

These are people already engaging in your niche — making them ideal for outreach, networking, or market research.

Let’s walk through the full strategy 👇

🛠️ Tools you’ll use

  • LinkedIn Group Members Export Phantom
  • LinkedIn Event Guests Export Phantom
  • PhantomBuster’s internal Leads Database (for filtering and list creation)

🎯 Objective

Build a list of Growth Marketing professionals in France based on:

  • Their membership in a Growth Hacking group,
  • Their attendance at Growth-related events.

🔹 Step 1: Scrape group members from LinkedIn

  1. On LinkedIn, search for a keyword related to your audience — in this case, “Growth”.
  2. Filter the results by Groups.
  3. Choose a relevant group (e.g., “Growth Hacking France” – 2000+ members).
  4. Copy the group URL.

Now go to PhantomBuster and:

  • Launch the LinkedIn Group Members Export phantom,
  • Paste the group URL,
  • Leave all other fields blank to scrape all members,
  • Launch the Phantom once.

âś… In this example: 2014 member profiles were scraped.

🔹 Step 2: Filter your group members list

Inside your PhantomBuster Leads Database:

  • Go to “View my leads” from the phantom run,
  • Apply a filter: Job contains "growth" to refine your target,
  • Save this filtered view as a new list (e.g., “Growth Professionals”).

This ensures you’re only working with the most relevant contacts.

🔹 Step 3: Scrape LinkedIn event attendees

  1. Back on LinkedIn, search again with a relevant keyword (e.g., “growth”),
  2. Filter by Events,
  3. Pick an event with qualified attendees (even 10 is enough!),
  4. Copy the event URL.

Back on PhantomBuster:

  • Use the LinkedIn Event Guests Export phantom,
  • Paste the event URL,
  • Launch the Phantom once to scrape the attendee profiles.

âś… In this example: 10 profiles were scraped.

🔹 Step 4: Combine Group & Event Leads

In the Leads Database:

  • Go to your saved “Growth Professionals” list,
  • Add a new filter:
    • “Processed by Phantom” → select LinkedIn Event Guests Export

Now your list includes:

  • Group members with “growth” in their title,
  • Event attendees from a growth-related event.

🧠 You now have a multi-intent list of highly relevant leads.

✉️ Step 5: outreach smartly

Use this final list to:

  • Send LinkedIn connection requests,
  • Trigger follow-up sequences,
  • Personalize your outreach with context (e.g., “saw you in [group/event]”).

🚀 Why this strategy works

  • Behavioral Targeting: You’re not just guessing — you’re targeting people already engaged in your topic.
  • Relevance: These leads are likely to respond better than cold audiences.
  • Efficiency: PhantomBuster does the heavy lifting — you just curate and launch.
