If you're using a PhantomBuster outreach setup: such as combining LinkedIn Search Export with Auto Connect or Message Sender, it's helpful to understand how the automation treats each lead based on connection status.

How connection handling works:
Before sending a message or invitation, your Phantom checks the status of each LinkedIn profile. Here's what happens:

- If you're already connected
→ The profile is skipped for the connection step and goes directly to messaging (if included)

- If a pending invite already exists
→ The profile is skipped to avoid sending a duplicate request

- If the profile is eligible
→ A new invitation is sent using LinkedIn Auto Connect

- If the profile can't be reached (e.g. private account or missing required data)
→ The automation logs the profile but takes no action

This logic ensures you're not duplicating efforts and helps you stay within safe LinkedIn limits.

Why your invite count might not match LinkedIn:
The launch report in PhantomBuster shows every profile the Phantom attempted to process, including those it skipped due to an existing connection or pending invite. These skipped profiles are still listed in your results, which can make the “invites sent” total appear higher than what LinkedIn shows.

To check the exact number of new invitations sent, open the Activity tab for the Phantom and review the launch logs. You'll see which profiles were actually invited, which were skipped, and why.

Want to increase your outreach volume?
While outreach Phantoms are designed to stay within LinkedIn’s daily and weekly invite limits, you can increase volume by:
- Using LinkedIn Auto Connect for more control over launch frequency.
- Running outreach across multiple LinkedIn accounts in your workspace.
- Spacing launches throughout the day using working-hour scheduling.

Helpful guides:
- Set up the LinkedIn Auto Connect Phantom
- Manage multiple LinkedIn accounts
