Slot usage

1 slot

Estimated execution time

5–10 minutes*

What you'll need

  • A connected LinkedIn account (use the PhantomBuster browser extension)
  • One LinkedIn source: company page, profile, post, or a single search URL
  • (Optional) A connected HubSpot account if you'd like extracted leads to sync automatically

See the full breakdown of all input fields in the detailed section below.

What you’ll get

  • A list of people who commented on or liked your selected LinkedIn posts
  • Engagement details (comments, reactions, etc.)
  • Key profile data such as name and LinkedIn profile URL

See the full breakdown of all output fields in the detailed section below.

*For a workflow targeting 10–20 recent post engagers, the full process typically takes around 5–10 minutes total, including profile enrichment and a few extra seconds for the workflow to process.

Before you start

  • Limits and fixed behavior:
    • Processes up to 8 posts per day.
    • Monitors up to 50 posts at once.
    • Runs once daily, schedule cannot be changed.
    • Extracts likers and commenters separately (a profile that liked and commented will appear in two separate rows, not merged).

Step 1: Choose your source to extract

You can provide your source in four ways:

  • A LinkedIn Company Page URL.
  • A LinkedIn Profile Page URL.
  • A Single LinkedIn Post URL.
  • A LinkedIn Post Search URL.

Use competitor pages, thought leader profiles, or your own content to capture high-intent engagement.

Step 2: Connect your LinkedIn account

To let the automation act on your behalf:

  1. Install the PhantomBuster browser extension and connect your LinkedIn session in one click.
  2. If you’re not using Chrome or Firefox, you can retrieve your session cookie manually (see our cookie guide).
PhantomBuster LinkedIn Post Commenter and Liker Scraper step 2 connecting your LinkedIn account

Check your browser user agent
Make sure your browser is up to date before connecting your account.
→ If your Chrome or Firefox version is outdated, your session cookie may expire much more quickly, and you’ll need to reconnect often.

Step 3: Choose what data to extract

  1. Check what you want to extract:

You can select one or both.

    • Commenters → profiles who left a comment. Best for highly engaged leads.
    • Likers (reactions) → profiles who reacted (like, celebrate, support, etc.). Best for awareness-stage leads.
  2. Push contact updates to HubSpot (optional):
→ Enable to sync extracted data directly into your HubSpot Contacts.

Scraping advanced settings (dropdown in setup)

  • Only retrieve posts published after a specific date:
    • Enable this box and set a date.
    • The Workflow will skip older posts and only process engagement from posts published on or after the chosen date.

LinkedIn may only show “Most relevant” comments by default. That means the Workflow will extract only those visible comments, not the full thread. Even so, you’ll capture the most prominent and engaged profiles.

Step 4 (Optional): Advanced settings

Advanced settings are available if you want to fine-tune how your Workflow runs, but by default they’re already optimized for most use cases.

We recommend leaving them as they are unless a guide specifically instructs you to change something.

→ For a detailed overview of all advanced options (like execution limits, retries, email notifications, proxies, webhooks, and file management), see our Advanced settings guide.

Launch and results

When you’re ready:

  • Toggle the ON/OFF switch to start your Workflow.

Once launched:

  • It automatically monitors your chosen source every day.
  • Launch frequency and timing are fixed: there are no custom launch settings.
  • Extracts engagement from the most active posts, up to 8 per day.
  • Stores new leads hourly in your LinkedIn Leads database (up to 50 per hour).
  • Saves profiles with details like name, LinkedIn URL, and type of engagement.

Once it finishes:

  • You can track progress in the Workflow's dashboard:
    • Leads tab → see individual profiles and their engagement type.
    • Report tab → see key metrics like posts scraped, commenters found, likers found, and leads saved.
  • The next worker agent (or Phantom) to launch is always visible in the Workflow Dashboard.
→ Look for the line starting with “Next:” to know what’s coming up in the sequence.

Export and input limits on the Free plan
If you’re on the Free plan or Free trial, some features are limited:
- CSV exports include only the first 10 rows of results.
- CSV download links (for dynamic viewing in Google Sheets or integrations) are not available.
- JSON exports are not available.
- CSV upload as an input method is not supported.
To unlock all features, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

Tips and troubleshooting

Common pitfalls

  • Using a private Google Sheet → Make sure it’s shared with “Anyone with the link.”
  • Fewer commenters than expected → LinkedIn often displays comments using the “Most relevant” sorting by default. This means not all comments are visible or extractable.
    • Switching to “Most recent” on LinkedIn may show more comments, but the Workflow can only extract what LinkedIn displays by default.
  • Engagement not appearing immediately → This Workflow runs once per day and doesn't instantly fetch new comments or reactions. Make sure it is turned ON and properly connected to your LinkedIn account. If the post is new or actively receiving engagement, it may take a few days for all new interactions to be captured within the daily limits.
  • Duplicate profiles → A profile that both liked and commented on a post will appear in two separate rows (one per action). These rows aren't merged.
  • Trying to use multiple input URLs → This Workflow can process only one input URL at a time, regardless of the input type (profile, company page, post, or search).
  • Updating inputs after launch → Once a Workflow is turned on, changing the input isn't recommended and may cause errors or unexpected behavior.
→ If you need to monitor a different source, create a new Workflow instead.
  • No custom scheduling → This Workflow runs once per day on a fixed schedule. Launch timing can't be customized.
  • If the Workflow stops working or you're not getting the expected results:
    • Errors may not always appear in the Dashboard.
    • To check hidden errors and execution details, open the Logs section from the console page of your Workflow. For step-by-step instructions, see How to Troubleshoot Errors in Workflows.
  • If you see the error message “Unavailable input”, read How to Fix the “Unavailable input” Error in the LinkedIn Post Commenter and Liker Scraper Workflow.

How to monitor posts from multiple profiles or company pages

Although this Workflow only accepts one input URL, you can still monitor posts from multiple profiles or company pages by using a LinkedIn post search URL.

To do this:

  1. Select LinkedIn Post Search URL as your input type.
  2. Open LinkedIn and perform a post search.
  3. Use the filters From member or From company to select the profiles or pages you want to monitor.
  4. Copy the resulting LinkedIn search URL.
  5. Paste that search URL into the Workflow input.

→ The Workflow will then monitor engagement on posts that match this search, within its daily limits.

If you run into issues

Suggested automations

Once you’ve collected engaged leads, you can:

  • Use the LinkedIn Outreach Phantom to send invites and follow-up messages in one workflow.
  • Enrich these leads with verified professional emails using the LinkedIn Profile Scraper Phantom.
  • Boost your visibility with the LinkedIn Auto Follow Phantom, so your profile shows up more often in your leads’ activity.
