If you notice the LinkedIn Auto Invitation Withdrawer skipping certain older invitations instead of withdrawing them strictly in order, this is a known limitation, not an error or a bug. LinkedIn changed how invitations are displayed, and the Phantom can't always access the very oldest ones at the bottom of the list. It will still withdraw the rest as expected.

If you want to withdraw the skipped invitations, the only option today is to remove them manually in LinkedIn.

Why you're seeing this

The LinkedIn Auto Invitation Withdrawer Phantom may complete a run but skip certain older invitations instead of withdrawing them strictly in order. After skipping these, it continues withdrawing the rest as expected.

This happens because:

  • LinkedIn changed how invitations are displayed.
  • The Phantom can't always access the very oldest invitations at the bottom of the list.

Our engineering team has confirmed the cause and is monitoring the issue. Since the Phantom continues to work correctly for the majority of invitations, a permanent fix isn't currently prioritized.

What you can do

There's no way to force the Phantom to reach those skipped invitations. For now:

  • Keep using the Phantom to withdraw the majority of invitations.
  • Manually withdraw the oldest few from LinkedIn if you need a fully clean invitations list.
  • Know that all accessible invitations are still withdrawn in oldest-to-newest order.

Frequently asked questions

Will the skipped invitations ever be withdrawn?

Not automatically. LinkedIn's display changes mean those specific invitations aren't reachable by the Phantom. You'll need to withdraw them manually if needed.

Can I manually withdraw the skipped ones from LinkedIn?

Yes. Go to your Sent invitations in LinkedIn and withdraw them directly. This works for any invitation the Phantom couldn't reach.

How many invitations does the Phantom typically skip?

Only a small number at the very bottom of your list. The vast majority are processed normally.

Does this affect the order of withdrawal?

No. Accessible invitations are still processed in oldest-to-newest order, the skipped ones are simply left untouched rather than reordered.

Does this mean my Phantom run failed?

No. A run that skips a few old invitations is still a successful run, the Phantom withdrew everything it could access.

If the error keeps showing up
