If your LinkedIn Search Export or Sales Navigator Search Export Phantom returns a "Page has crashed" error, it means the Phantom tried to process too many search URLs at once and overloaded LinkedIn. To fix it, set the Phantom to process one search URL per launch and schedule it to run once per day.
If your Phantom runs without crashing but you're not seeing as many results as expected, see Why LinkedIn and Sales Navigator searches return fewer results than expected.
Why you're seeing this
This error appears when a Phantom tries to process too many search URLs in a single launch. Opening too many searches at once overloads LinkedIn, causing pages to crash.
As a result:
- Run times are longer than expected.
- Execution time is consumed faster.
- Fewer results are collected.
This error only occurs in:
Crashes are usually triggered when:
- More than one search URL is processed per launch.
- The Phantom is set to export more than LinkedIn's display limit:
- LinkedIn Search Export: 1,000 results per search.
- Sales Navigator Search Export: 2,500 results per search.
- Input spreadsheets contain large lists of URLs without being broken into smaller runs.
How to fix it
Limit the Phantom to one search per launch
Open your Phantom setup and go to the Behavior step. Adjust these settings:
- Results to export per search URL: 1,000 for LinkedIn Search Export, 2,500 for Sales Navigator Search Export
- Results to export per launch: 1,000 for LinkedIn, 2,500 for Sales Navigator
- Rows in your spreadsheet to process per launch: Set to 1 (this option only appears if your input is a Google Sheet)
Schedule the Phantom to run once per day
In the Launch settings step, enable automatic launches:
- Select Repeatedly and choose Once per day
- Save your settings
With this setup, your Phantom will:
- Process one search per day.
- Extract up to LinkedIn's safe per-search maximum (1,000 or 2,500).
- Continue automatically until the full spreadsheet is fully processed.
Consider upgrading to Sales Navigator
If you often work with large lead lists, Sales Navigator raises the limit to 2,500 results per search and gives you access to dedicated Sales Navigator Phantoms for more advanced lead extraction.
Frequently asked questions
Does this error affect all Phantoms or only search exports?
Only the LinkedIn Search Export and Sales Navigator Search Export Phantoms. Other Phantoms process different page types and aren't subject to this specific crash pattern.
Will my Phantom resume automatically after a crash?
If it's scheduled to run repeatedly, it will retry on the next launch. Any results already collected are saved, so you won't lose progress, but the crashed launch itself won't recover mid-run.
Can I run more than one search per day if I have a small input list?
Yes. "Once per day" is the safest default, but if each search returns well under the cap (e.g. 200–300 results), you can safely schedule more frequent launches. Monitor for crashes and back off if they return.
Why does this happen even with fewer than 1,000 results?
Processing multiple search URLs in the same launch, regardless of total result count, is the main trigger. LinkedIn's browser struggles to hold multiple heavy search pages open simultaneously.
Does upgrading to a higher PhantomBuster plan fix this?
No. This is a LinkedIn browser limit, not a PhantomBuster resource limit. A higher plan gives you more execution time and slots, but doesn't change how LinkedIn handles multiple search pages at once.
Can I split my input list across multiple Phantoms to speed things up?
Yes. You can clone the Phantom and split your Google Sheet between them: each Phantom will process one search per day from its own list. Keep in mind this uses more execution time and slots.
