If your Sales Navigator Phantom returns a "You don't have access to this search" error, it means the Phantom can't reach the saved search or list you provided as input. This usually happens because the Phantom is logged into the wrong Sales Navigator team, or because you're using a saved search URL with multiple accounts and only the account that created the search can access it. Switch to the correct team in your Phantom settings, or use a regular search URL instead of a saved one.
If you're getting a URL length error instead, see How to Fix the "Your Sales Navigator URL Is Too Long" Error. If your results are inaccurate, see How to Fix Inaccurate LinkedIn or Sales Navigator Search Results.
Why you're seeing this
This error appears when the Phantom can't access the saved search or list you provided as input.
It usually happens because of:
- Wrong Sales Navigator team - Each team has its own saved searches and lists. If the Phantom is logged into the wrong team, it can't reach the saved search you're pointing to.
- Multi-account setup - When using the Sales Navigator Search Export or Sales Navigator Profile Scraper Phantoms with multiple accounts, only the account that originally created the saved search can access it. Other accounts will fail, which may lead to partial results.
How to fix it
If you're part of multiple Sales Navigator teams
- Open the Phantom setup.
- In the Behavior step, expand the Advanced Behavior settings.
- Tick the box: Use your second Sales Navigator team instead of the first.
- In the same step, open the Results file settings and give the file a new name under Name your results file - this prevents the Phantom from appending to results collected under the wrong team.
- Save your changes and relaunch the Phantom.
This ensures the Phantom runs under the correct team space and starts processing your input from the beginning.
If you're using a saved search with multiple accounts
Only the account that created the saved search can access it. You have two options:
- Use regular Sales Navigator search result URLs instead of saved search URLs - regular URLs work across all connected accounts.
- Or run the Phantom with only the account that created the saved search.
Frequently asked questions
Can I share a saved search between Sales Navigator team members?
Saved searches are tied to the individual account that created them. Other team members, and other accounts connected to the same Phantom, can't access them. Use regular search URLs if you need cross-account access.
What's the difference between a saved search URL and a regular search URL?
A saved search URL points to a search you explicitly saved in Sales Navigator (usually a shorter URL). A regular search URL contains all the filters encoded directly in it. Regular URLs work for any account, while saved search URLs only work for the account that created them.
Why do I need to rename the results file when switching teams?
When the Phantom was running under the wrong team, it may have collected partial or incorrect results. Renaming the results file gives the Phantom a clean starting point so it doesn't mix data from the wrong team with results from the correct one.
Does this error affect regular LinkedIn searches too?
No. This error is specific to Sales Navigator saved searches and team configurations. Regular LinkedIn search URLs don't have team-level access restrictions.
How do I know which team my saved search belongs to?
In Sales Navigator, switch between your teams using the team selector at the top of the page. Your saved searches will only appear when you're viewing the team where you created them.
Can I use multiple accounts with saved searches?
Not with the same saved search URL. Each saved search is tied to one account. If you want to use multiple accounts, use regular search URLs instead.
