Plan credit and export limit errors in PhantomBuster mean your Workspace has hit a usage ceiling included in your current plan, not a Phantom configuration problem. The fix is to wait for your credits to reset at the start of the next billing cycle, upgrade your plan for more credits and unlimited exports, or for Hunter.io, Dropcontact, or Snov.io email discovery, top up your credits directly with that provider.

Why you're seeing this

Your automation may show one of these messages:

  • "You've reached the 10 URL search limit allowed by your free plan"
  • "You have no remaining email discovery credits"
  • "Out of URL Finder credits"
  • "Not enough URL finder credits left, stopping Phantom execution"
  • "You've used all your URL finder credits. Quickly upgrade your plan to keep going"
  • “No email credits left” / "You have no remaining Email credits"
  • "You've reached the limit of 10 exported rows allowed by your free plan"
  • Or a similar message indicating a plan credit or usage limit has been reached.

All of these mean the same thing: Your Workspace has reached a usage limit included in your current plan. This isn’t a Phantom configuration issue, your automation is working correctly, it has simply hit a ceiling set by your plan.

You've hit a credit limit

Your PhantomBuster plan includes a set number of credits per month for various features, such as URL finder, email discovery, CAPTCHA-solving, and AI. 
Once a credit type is exhausted, Phantoms that rely on it will stop running until your credits reset.

How to fix it:

Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. You have two options in the meantime:

  • Wait for your credits to reset: Your Phantoms will resume automatically at the start of your next billing cycle.
  • Upgrade your plan: Higher plans include more credits per month across all credit types.

Credits can’t be purchased separately, they’re included as part of your plan.

If your credit limit is related to email discovery:

The fix may differ depending on which email discovery service you selected in your Phantom setup. To check, open your Phantom's setup and go to the Email discovery step.

  • If you selected PhantomBuster → Check your current credit usage on your Resources page. From there you can see how many credits remain and when they reset. If you're regularly hitting the limit, consider upgrading your plan for more credits per month.
  • If you selected Hunter.io, Dropcontact.io, or Snov.io → Your credits are managed directly by that provider, not by PhantomBuster. Log in to your account with them to top up or upgrade, then relaunch your Phantom.

You've reached your export limit

The free plan and free trial include a limit of 10 exported rows per export. Once you hit this limit, you won't be able to download your full results until you upgrade.

What kinds of credits does my PhantomBuster plan include?

Your plan includes monthly credits for URL finder, email discovery, CAPTCHA-solving, and AI features. The exact number of credits per type depends on your plan (Start, Grow, or Scale).

When do my credits reset?

Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Once they reset, any Phantoms that had been paused because of a credit limit resume automatically.

How do I check how many credits I have left?

Open your Resources page in your Workspace to see how many credits remain for each credit type and when they reset.

Can I buy more credits without upgrading my plan?

No. Credits can't be purchased separately. They're included as part of your plan, so to get more credits you need to upgrade to a higher plan.

Can I pay less by removing credits from my plan (email discovery, AI, URL finder, CAPTCHA-solving)?

No. All credits are included in your plan as part of the overall package, they can't be removed or traded for a discount. If you don't use them, they simply go unused and reset at the start of each billing cycle. If you'd like to lower your bill, the only option is to downgrade to a lower plan.

What does "Out of URL Finder credits" mean and how do I fix it?

This means a Phantom you're running has used all of your URL Finder credits for this billing cycle. URL Finder credits are spent each time a Phantom looks up a profile, company, or domain URL via an external search. Your Phantoms resume automatically at the start of your next billing cycle when credits reset.

Which Phantoms use URL Finder credits, and how many do I get per plan?

URL Finder credits are consumed each time a Phantom performs an online lookup to find a profile or company URL. Each search uses 1 credit. The Phantoms that use these credits are:

  • LinkedIn Profile URL Finder
  • HubSpot Contact LinkedIn URL Finder
  • Instagram Profile URL Finder
  • Facebook Profile URL Finder
  • Twitter Profile URL Finder
  • LinkedIn Company URL Finder

Credits per plan: Free trial - 100/month · Start - 1,000/month · Grow - 10,000/month · Scale - 20,000/month.

Why is my email discovery credit limit different from other credits?

Because email discovery can be handled by PhantomBuster or by an external provider (Hunter.io, Dropcontact, or Snov.io). If you selected PhantomBuster, the limit comes from your plan. If you selected an external provider, the limit comes from your account with that provider.

Do Hunter.io, Dropcontact, and Snov.io credits come from my PhantomBuster plan?

No. These are third-party providers and their credits are managed directly by them. To top up or upgrade, log in to your account with the relevant provider and relaunch your Phantom once credits are added.

What's the export limit on the free plan?

The free plan and free trial allow a maximum of 10 exported rows per export. Any paid plan removes this limit and includes unlimited CSV and JSON exports.
