How to Delete your PhantomBuster Account or Workspaces

To delete your PhantomBuster account, go to My Personal Settings, scroll to the Actions dropdown, and click Delete. This permanently removes your account and all workspaces you own. You must cancel any active subscription and remove all workspace members before deleting. To delete a specific secondary workspace without closing your account, contact the Customer Care Team. To leave a workspace you were invited to, go to Users & Accounts and select "Leave the workspace."

Before you start

Deleting your account or a workspace is permanent and cannot be undone.

All your data, workspaces, and automations will be permanently removed.
→ Make sure you've saved any important information before proceeding and that you don't have any unresolved issues with our Customer Care Team (as they will lose access to your account once it is deleted).

Important considerations:

  • Data loss: Once deleted, your account or workspace and all associated data cannot be recovered.
  • Subscription: If you have an active paid subscription, it must be canceled before deletion.

  • Billing: If you're on a paid plan, deletion immediately ends your subscription. Any remaining paid period is forfeited (no refunds are possible except as stated in our Refund Policy).

What you want to do

Pick the path that matches your situation:

The primary workspace cannot be deleted on its own: it's linked to your account, so deleting it means deleting your whole account. And deleting your account does not affect any Workspaces you don't own. They stay intact under their owner's account.

How to delete your account (self-serve)

You can delete your account directly from your personal settings.

The Delete option is blocked until you've resolved certain conditions.

You'll need to:

  • Cancel any active paid subscription.
  • Remove all members from Workspaces you own.
  • Leave any Workspaces you've been invited to.

If the button isn't responding, jump to Step 3 below, it walks through each blocker and how to fix it.

Step 1: Go to your account settings

  1. Log in to your PhantomBuster Workspace.
  2. Click your profile icon (top-right corner) and select My personal settings, under My space.

  3. Scroll to the Actions dropdown and click Delete.

Step 2: Confirm deletion

You'll see a confirmation popup explaining that this action is irreversible.

  • Tick the confirmation checkbox.

  • Click Permanently delete.

Step 3: Resolve any blockers

PhantomBuster checks if anything is blocking deletion.

You may need to:

  • Cancel an active subscription.

  • Remove all members from Workspaces you own. 
    → Make sure you are in the correct workspace by checking the Workspace switcher in the user menu (top-right corner).

  • Leave any Workspace you're a member of.
    → You must leave these Workspaces before deleting your account.

Click Retry once all blockers are resolved.

Step 4: Final confirmation

After confirming, PhantomBuster will delete your account and all associated Workspaces and data.

How to delete a specific workspace (Customer Care only)

Workspace deletion is not self-serve.

You can request Workspace deletion only if:

  • You are the owner of that Workspace, and
  • It is not your primary Workspace (the primary Workspace cannot be deleted on its own).

To request deletion

  1. Cancel your subscription (if applicable).
  2. Back up your data:
  3. Contact PhantomBuster Customer Care Team:
    • Open a Customer Care request.
    • Use the email address you used to create your PhantomBuster Workspace. This is the same email linked to your Workspace.
  4. Confirm deletion by email when prompted.

How to leave a Workspace you don't own

If you are only a member of a workspace (not the owner):

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Make sure the correct Workspace is selected (if you belong to multiple workspaces).
  3. Under the Workspace section, click Users & accounts.
  4. Find your own profile in the member list and click the three dots next to your name.
  5. Select Leave the Workspace.

Leaving a Workspace does not delete any data. Other members keep full access.

What happens after deletion

  • Account deletion: Your account and all Workspaces you own are permanently removed.
  • Workspace deletion: Only data in that specific Workspace is deleted.
  • You immediately lose access to any deleted account or Workspace.
  • You'll see a final confirmation message once deletion is complete.

Frequently asked questions

How long does deletion take? Can I recover anything afterwards?

Deletion is immediate, once you click Permanently delete, your account and all associated data are removed and recovery is not possible. Make sure to export any data you want to keep before proceeding.

Can I delete my account without deleting my Workspaces?

No. Deleting your account permanently removes all Workspaces you own. If you only want to remove a specific secondary Workspace, contact the Customer Care Team instead.

Can I delete just my primary Workspace?

No. Your primary Workspace is linked to your account and can't be deleted while other Workspaces remain active. You would need to delete your entire account.

Why can't I click the Delete button?

You may need to cancel your active subscription first, remove all members from Workspaces you own, and leave any Workspaces you are a member of. Resolve these blockers and click Retry.

Does leaving a Workspace delete my data?

No. Leaving a Workspace only removes your access. Other members keep full access to all data in that Workspace.
