What you'll need
- A connected LinkedIn account (Use the PhantomBuster browser extension)
-
A list of LinkedIn profile URLs or post URLs
→ See the full breakdown of all input fields in the detailed section below.
What you’ll get
- Total number of likes/unlikes applied
-
URLs of posts where a reaction was applied
→ See the full breakdown of all output fields in the detailed section below.
Before you start
- This Phantom likes posts from your personal LinkedIn account, it can't apply reactions on behalf of a LinkedIn Company Page. You can still target company-page posts as input; you just can't react to them as the company.
- Awareness of LinkedIn’s safety limits:
- Safely like up to 100 posts per day with a Basic LinkedIn account.
- With Sales Navigator and post URLs as input, you can go up to 400 per day.
Step 1: Tell the Phantom which posts to like
You can provide your profiles or posts in three ways:
-
My Lists:
Choose a saved LinkedIn Leads list you’ve already created in PhantomBuster. -
A URL:
- Paste a single LinkedIn profile URL → the Phantom will like their posts.
- Paste a single LinkedIn post URL → the Phantom will like that specific post.
- Paste a LinkedIn company page URL → the Phantom will like recent posts from that company page.
- Provide a Google Sheet with LinkedIn profile or post URLs (make sure it’s shared with “Anyone with the link”).
-
Upload a CSV file with LinkedIn profile or post URLs (make sure it’s publicly accessible, and note that CSV upload is only available on paid plans).
→ If you’re using a spreadsheet, the Phantom defaults to the first column (A). To use a different column, enter the column’s header name in the field “Name of column containing profile URLs.”
-
My Phantoms:
Use results from another Phantom as input (e.g. LinkedIn Search Export or LinkedIn Profile Scraper results).
Step 2: Connect your LinkedIn account
To let the Phantom act on your behalf:
- Install the PhantomBuster browser extension and connect your LinkedIn session in one click.
- If you’re not using Chrome or Firefox, you can retrieve your session cookie manually (see our cookie guide).
Check your browser user agent
Make sure your browser is up to date before connecting your account.
→ If your Chrome or Firefox version is outdated, your session cookie may expire much more quickly, and you’ll need to reconnect often.
Step 3: Choose your reactions and activity
Configure exactly how the Phantom should engage with content:
-
Activity type (profile URLs only):
Open the “Choose which type of activity you want the Phantom to like on your behalf” dropdown and select one of the following options:- All categories → Likes any recent content from the profile (mix of posts and articles).
- Articles → Likes only LinkedIn long-form articles.
-
Posts → Likes only standard feed posts (recommended for consistent volume).
To engage company content, use post URLs. The activity filter doesn’t apply to company pages.
-
Reaction type:
Choose one reaction to apply to all posts: Like, Celebrate, Support, Love, Insightful, or Funny. -
Unlike posts (optional):
Check this if you want the Phantom to remove your reactions instead of adding them. -
Watcher mode (optional):
- Reprocess the same profile URLs each time the Phantom runs to find new content.
- Only works with the first 10 profile URLs in your spreadsheet. If you want to monitor more than 10 profiles, the only option is to create and run multiple Phantoms.
- Combine with “Like/unlike only the latest post” to make sure the Phantom only engages with new posts each run.
-
Number of spreadsheet rows to process per launch:
- Default = 10 rows per launch (this is also the maximum).
- To stay safe, keep to 100 likes per day. The easiest strategy is to process 10 profiles per launch, over 10 launches.
- If you want to process more data, always spread it across multiple launches instead of raising the per-launch number.
-
Number of posts to like per profile
- Default = 1 post per profile.
- If left blank, the Phantom will like 1 post.
- Increase this number to like multiple posts per person, but keep it moderate for safety.
Step 4: Select launch frequency
Choose how often the Phantom should run:
- Launch manually: Start the Phantom yourself whenever you need.
- Launch once at a specific time: schedule a one-time run at a set date and time.
- Launch repeatedly: schedule regular runs (e.g. once per day, several times during working hours).
- Launch after another Phantom: chain automations together so this Phantom starts right after another finishes.
- Advanced scheduling: customize the exact minutes, hours, days, or months when the Phantom should run.
→ For a complete walkthrough of scheduling options, see our guide to scheduling Phantoms automatically.
Step 5 (Optional): Advanced settings
Advanced settings are available if you want to fine-tune how your Phantom runs, but by default they’re already optimized for most use cases.
We recommend leaving them as they are unless a guide specifically instructs you to change something.
→ For a detailed overview of all advanced options (like execution limits, retries, email notifications, proxies, webhooks, and file management), see our Advanced settings guide.
Launch and results
When you’re ready:
- Click Launch to start your Phantom.
- Once it finishes, open the Results tab to check which posts were liked.
- Download your results as a CSV or JSON file.
→ To learn how to export your data to Google Sheets, integrate with other tools, or reuse it in more automations, check our Access and Export your Phantom Results guide.
Export and input limits on the Free plan
If you’re on the Free plan or Free trial, some features are limited:
- CSV exports include only the first 10 rows of results.
- CSV download links (for dynamic viewing in Google Sheets or integrations) are not available.
- JSON exports are not available.
- CSV upload as an input method is not supported.
To unlock all features, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

Tips and troubleshooting
Common pitfalls
- Using company page URLs instead of post URLs.
- Forgetting to share your Google Sheet with “Anyone with the link.”
- Trying to process too many profiles at once: 10 per launch is the safe maximum.
- Expecting Watcher mode to monitor unlimited URLs (only works reliably on the first 10).
If you run into issues
- Check how to troubleshoot your phantom using Logs.
- Browse the Fix Issues & Troubleshoot Errors section for solutions to common problems.
- Review our Automation Rate Limits by Platform guide.
- Check our Best Practices for Social Media Automation guide.
