What you'll need
- A list of leads with full names and company names, or full names and professional emails
-
URL finder credits available in your PhantomBuster plan
→ See the full breakdown of all input fields in the detailed section below.
What you’ll get
- Matched LinkedIn profile URLs for your leads (when a match is found)
-
Title and description of the matched LinkedIn page
→ See the full breakdown of all output fields in the detailed section below.
Before you start
- If you’re on the Free Trial, only the first 100 rows will be processed.
- This Phantom uses URL finder credits to perform online lookups and find profile or company URLs.
- Each lookup uses one credit, and your monthly limit depends on your plan.
Step 1: Choose your input source
You can provide your lead data in three ways:
-
A URL:
- Paste the URL of a Google Sheet with your contacts (make sure it’s shared with “Anyone with the link”).
- Or upload a CSV file with your contacts (make sure it’s publicly accessible, and note that CSV upload is only available on paid plans).
-
Required fields: To make sure the Phantom can correctly identify LinkedIn profiles, your input must include:
- First name and Last name (or a single Full name column)
- Either a Company name or a professional email address
→ Without both pieces, the Phantom won’t be able to find a reliable match. - Optional:
- Country & language → Helps the Phantom look in the right market and improves accuracy.
- Names of columns to keep in your result file → Carry over any extra fields from your input (like a CRM Record ID) so they’re preserved in the output file.
-
My Phantoms:
Use results from another Phantom as input (e.g. LinkedIn Search Export results). -
HubSpot:
Connect your HubSpot account and pull profiles directly from a contact list.
→ For best results, make sure each contact has a first and last name, plus either a company or professional email.
Step 2: Configure processing behavior
This step only applies if your input source (step 1) is a Google Sheet or CSV file.
-
Number of rows to process per launch (optional):
- Choose how many rows (leads) the Phantom should process during one run.
- If left empty, the Phantom will try to process all your leads in a single launch: This is not recommended if you have a long list or if you’re running other LinkedIn Phantoms at the same time.
→ To stay safe, we recommend setting a smaller number here (for example, 10-20 rows per launch) so the searches are spread out and you avoid LinkedIn detecting too much activity at once.
→ Adjust this number depending on your list size and how many other LinkedIn automations you’re running in parallel.
Result file settings (dropdown in setup)
-
Name your results file (optional):
-
You can customize the file name.
→ Learn more in our guide: Customize how your Phantom results files are saved. If you rename the file between launches, the Phantom will create a new results file and start processing inputs from scratch.
-
Step 3: Select launch frequency
Choose how often the Phantom should run:
- Launch manually: Start the Phantom yourself whenever you need.
- Launch once at a specific time: schedule a one-time run at a set date and time.
- Launch repeatedly: schedule regular runs (e.g. once per day, several times during working hours).
- Launch after another Phantom: chain automations together so this Phantom starts right after another finishes.
- Advanced scheduling: customize the exact minutes, hours, days, or months when the Phantom should run.
→ For a complete walkthrough of scheduling options, see our guide to scheduling Phantoms automatically.
To keep your LinkedIn account safe:
- Schedule runs during weekday business hours to mimic normal usage patterns.
- If you’re chaining Phantoms, space them so one finishes cleanly before the next starts. Learn more in our guide on chaining Phantoms.
Launch and results
When you’re ready:
- Click Launch to start your Phantom.
- Once it finishes, open the Results tab in the Phantom console to see the LinkedIn profile URLs it found.
- Download your results as a CSV or JSON file, or view them as a dynamic list on the LinkedIn Leads page.
→ To learn how to export your data to Google Sheets, integrate with other tools, or reuse it in more automations, check our Access and Export your Phantom Results guide.
Export and input limits on the Free plan
If you’re on the Free plan or Free trial, some features are limited:
- CSV exports include only the first 10 rows of results.
- CSV download links (for dynamic viewing in Google Sheets or integrations) are not available.
- JSON exports are not available.
- CSV upload as an input method is not supported.
To unlock all features, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

Tips and troubleshooting
Common pitfalls
- Missing required fields → you must provide (First + Last + Company) or (Full name + Email).
- Using a private Google Sheet → make sure it’s shared with “Anyone with the link.”
- Processing too many rows in one go → split large lists across launches for better accuracy and safety.
- Trial plan → only the first 100 rows will be processed.
- Unclear or incomplete inputs → this Phantom runs a Google search using the exact text you provide and returns the first result it finds. For best results, make sure your input is well structured (e.g. “First Last, Company”) and that the right columns are selected in the setup.
If you run into issues

Suggested automations
After finding LinkedIn profile URLs, you can:
- Scrape full details → run LinkedIn Profile Scraper to enrich profiles with job title, company, and location.
- Build outreach lists → LinkedIn profile URLs found by the LinkedIn Profile Scraper Phantom are automatically added to your LinkedIn Leads page. From there, you can create segmented lists and manage them directly.
- Engage your leads → once you’ve built your lists, use LinkedIn Outreach to send personalized connection requests and follow-up messages.
